WiER creates new forms of paid work for writers in Canada, and new opportunities for learning for students and teachers. Working in partnership with education, business, government, and the arts, WiER raises funds to make the program accessible to participating schools and writers everywhere in our country.

• Writers
  All writers are paid through funds raised by the Writers in Electronic Residence Foundation and school participation fees. 
   
• School Fees
  WiER's fees are $650.00 per class, per term.
   
• ISPs & Networks
  Schools and writers connect to WiER through their local Internet providers, and/or education networks.

We gratefully acknowledge the assistance of provincial, territorial and district education networks, which also help to bring WiER to teachers and schools.
